Drippy-DripThirteen years old at last, I am, and what is my reward for such an achievement? I am sent to spend the weekend at Grandmother’s house. I am finally mature enough (so Mother tells me) to be getting away from home more often, though the good Lord knows she’d glad to be rid of me for whatever time she can be. So, to Grandmother’s I am bound, heading straight to the dry dusty middle of nowhere all in one. I ride the bus though the flatland alone, for the most part. (The sleeping man in the back with a newspaper plastered to his sweaty forehead hardly counts.)Drippy-Drip
At last we reach my stop, marked by an old crooked mailbox and a long dirt
